Longitudinal seam steel pipes

Resources: lucksteeldate: 04 - Jan - 2026

Longitudinal seam steel pipes are those with welds parallel to the longitudinal direction of the pipe. They are commonly categorized into metric electric-welded steel pipes, thin-walled electric-welded pipes, transformer cooling oil pipes, and so on. The production process for longitudinal seam welded pipes is straightforward, offering high production efficiency, low cost, and rapid development. Spiral welded pipes generally exhibit higher strength compared to longitudinal seam welded pipes. They can be produced from narrower billets to create pipes with larger diameters and can also yield pipes of different diameters using billets of the same width. Based on the production process, longitudinal seam steel pipes can be classified into high-frequency longitudinal seam steel pipes and submerged arc welded longitudinal seam steel pipes. Submerged arc welded longitudinal seam steel pipes are further divided into UOE, RBE, and JCOE steel pipes, depending on their forming methods.
